Fife Women’s Aid is my first trustee position. I joined in October 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, which is recognised to have had a significant impact on the lives of women and children, and increased the number of those who face domestic abuse. Contributing to the board of an organisation which provides vital services across Fife will be a personal privilege, as well as a development opportunity.

My long term goal is to ensure there is greater diversity in decision making, to ensure that future generations do not have to live with rules, policies or societal values which discriminate against anyone. In particular I wish to be involved in work that directly protects the lives and rights of women and girls.

I have worked at Scottish Water for 17 years, predominantly in the area of customer experience, and have managed large programmes of customer research ensuring the results are usable and drive the business forward. In recent years I have been involved in our Strategic Planning process, including writing our 25 year strategic plan.

In my current role I take the long term commitments we have made to better empower customers and communities, and develop the plans for how these will be achieved. I have been based in our Dunfermline office for the past five years.

I am a single mother to two daughters, and have a grown up step-daughter. We live in Falkirk with our two cats.
